Habitual Traffic Offender

In a five year period, a person with any combination of three criminal knowingly driving on a suspended license (withhold of adjudication or conviction), DUI, or civil unknowingly driving on a suspended license (where they were convicted) charges, or who receives 15 moving violations, will be designated a Habitual Traffic Offender and lose their license for a period of five years and won’t be eligible for a temporary driving permit for at least one year. Once a temporary driving permit is issued, the driver will only be able to drive for business purposes for the remainder of the five year suspension.  Many times, depending on why a person has been designated a Habitual Traffic Offender, we can assist you in clearing the Habitual Traffic Offender designation and get you back on the road. Whether you are facing a criminal charge for driving as a Habitual Traffic Offender or you want to try and reinstate your driving privilege, give us a call at our Sarasota office for a free consultation 941-365-7171.
